In the vibrant spring season, a delegation from Panasonic’s globally renowned UA3P marketing and sales team officially visited Ningbo Zhixing Optics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Zhixing Optics”). Dr. Guo Licheng, founder of Zhixing Optics and an expert in optical metrology, warmly welcomed the guests alongside his core technical team. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on future trends and technical details in ultra-precision optical metrology.

      As the industry benchmark for ultra-precision aspheric surface profilers, Panasonic’s UA3P series enjoys an outstanding reputation. This visit aimed to strengthen information sharing and collaboration between both parties in advanced optical inspection technologies.

      At the exchange meeting, Dr. Guo first extended a warm welcome to the Panasonic team. The discussion then focused on macro-level analyses of the latest demands for optical metrology from consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and the AI industry. Dr. Guo pointed out that with the rapid iteration of smartphones, smart wearables, automotive LiDAR, and AI vision hardware, the demand for aspheric lenses—particularly glass-molded aspheres—is growing significantly. He emphasized that the high value and variability inherent in glass-molded aspheres impose new requirements on inspection efficiency. Leveraging its proprietary Computer-Generated Hologram (CGH) technology, Zhixing Optics is committed to delivering highly efficient and precise automated inspection solutions for these sectors.

      The exchange then entered a technically intensive phase. Both teams held a dedicated workshop on measuring large-aperture aspheres, especially addressing data correlation challenges related to nanometer-level surface form errors across different spatial frequencies encountered in semiconductor applications. Regarding the impact of mid-to-high frequency ripple on imaging quality, Zhixing Optics demonstrated its data stability under 6nm RMS precision control and conducted an in-depth comparative validation against UA3P measurement results. The Panasonic team highly commended Zhixing Optics’ innovative practices in complex wavefront analysis and automated closed-loop alignment, noting that the complementary nature of Zhixing’s CGH technology and UA3P’s contact-based measurements could establish a more complete closed-loop solution for precision optical manufacturing.

      This exchange not only reinforced the professional connection between Zhixing Optics and a world-leading technical team but also laid a solid foundation for the company’s future endeavors in domestic substitution and technological advancement of high-end inspection equipment.
